Michael,

I'm beginning to understand this management a little better. It's really all part of a share repurchase strategy. While one can argue with parts of it, such as the put selling, it would still be misleading to say that DELL "made more than $3.1 billion playing the market" and that the playing with puts and calls resulted in "inflated bottom lines" as the Forbes ASAP piece states.

I suppose one could view this a bit differently depending upon one's point of view. But I don't have any particular axe to grind on DELL one way or the other. I just won't buy their computers this year when I replace older systems. Those 400 MHz Emachines at $599 coming soon look too darn enticing.
