ProAm Explorations Corporation announces assay results, Samuels Lake discovery VANCOUVER, March 22 /CNW/ - ProAm on behalf of the 50/50 joint venture with Starcore Resources is pleased to announce assay results from the Samuels Lake property near Atikokan, Ontario. The key drill hole, SM-99-3, is part of a 1200 meter reconnaissance drilling program testing separate targets within the Samuels Lake mafic intrusion on this unexplored property. Anomalous values in platinum, palladium, copper and nickel have been returned from surface sampling (see previous news releases). Drill hole SM-99-3 was designed to test an electromagnetic conductor under the waters of Samuels Lake. This broad conductive and magnetic zone has a north-south axis of approximately 200 meters and an east-west axis of some 300 meters. Two wide sections of mineralization were intersected within a gabbro unit. The gabbro was variably mineralized with disseminated, net textured and semi-massive to massive sulphides. << ------------------------------------------------------------------------- DDH AZIMUTH DIP FROM TO INTERVAL Copper Nickel Pt+Pd+Au METERS METERS METERS % % g/t ------------------------------------------------------------------------- SM-99-3 200 -55 71.71 141.05 69.34 0.22 0.15 0.074 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- SM-99-3 200 -55 177.06 222.6 45.74 0.82 0.64 0.8 including 208 213.33 5.33 1.74 1.13 0.8 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- >> (All assays were conducted by Accurassay of Thunder Bay, Ontario). At the end of the mineralized zone the vertical depth approximates 175 meters and the zone appears to be open up-dip, down-dip and along strike to the east and west. Drill holes SM-99-1, 2, and 4 were drilled on separate targets from hole SM-99-3. Drill hole SM-99-1 returned anomalous values in platinum, palladium and copper, while assays are awaited on holes SM-99-2 and 4. Further drilling is expected to delineate extensions to this new discovery. The drill program will resume as soon as possible.
