M$,

You have a good point about INKT being there first. They were there first with advanced Internet searching. Now there is a plethora of search engines (have you seen for example, mamma.com or spyhop.com ?). Net caching is now big with companies such as Cisco and Novell putting out products - although more hardware than software. They also have done a great job in making their products the standards to beat. While I believe they have executed their business plan very well so far, it is clear that they are going to have stiff competition from here forward. Their shopping software will be the next target. I think it will be very important to watch their earnings. INKT predicted that they would break even by the 3rd or 4th Quarter of this year. INKT's main customers are major portals and any defections mean big drops in stock price. When there was no competition is looked like it would be all gravy, but now the question is whether INKT will earn enough so that it can stay ahead of the curve. This stock is not for the faint of heart.
