Right, it's a toy. There is also a class of boats in that size range that carry quite a bit more diesel and can cover 700 to 800 miles safely. They are slower and cost about 50% more. Serious boats. You need to get to the 90+ footers to find transoceanic capabilities. $10,000,000 will get you a starter.

I spent some time on a 48 footer as a kid. It was a heavy wooden boat and ran twin 283 Chevies. It got 2 gallons per mile.
