PPOD Clayleas, I read what you said, but all the highlights for PPOD anticipate the retail chains to be stagnant, without inovation. They will not be stagnant. The cards so you don't have to clip coupons, the adding of services, the express lanes all are inovations that will continue, PPOD find it has a moving target in this oligopoly.

Supermarkets now are adding services, like Video stores, banks, Flowers, bakerys, they locate in mini near dry cleaners, fast food stores, and they are on every corner. People really do leave the house.

Remember you need a two hour window for deliveries, so the market is for the immoble people. The elderly or intrenched city dwellers of the east cost, the entrenched represent a niche market. And the elderly would be the other group but the prices are too high, for them. And to boot trucking around the store, using the cart as a sort of walker, and picking out the best foods and veggies, can be sort of a highlight of the day for many a granny.

Bottomline, is that breaking away from Safeway which PPOD did, is really a bad sign. Now PPOD thinks they can manage perishible inventores with the best of the best??? NOT
