Can you show me a classic cup and handle on another chart.

Just a quick glance at a couple of charts:

AOL from late July to late Oct could be argued as a c-w-h, but the handle dips too much to be classic.

AMGN from late July to Nov or Dec is closer.

There's a "CANSLIM - COAST TO COAST" thread here on SI that talks about CANSLIM and near-CANSLIM stocks. They often discuss c-w-h patterns there. I stopped reading it a while back as I didn't have the time. I'll probably start reading it again now that I'm using the Browsemaster. It speeds things up a lot.

Over a much shorter term AOL formed a cup-with-handle over the month of February through the first week-or-so of March. This was part of a larger consolidation that started at the beginning of the year. The c-w-h started with the failed breakout at the end of Jan.

All of this is IMHO since I claim no expertise at TA.

Gary B. Smith at TSC is a whiz at charting. One recent article highlighted NEON as having a cup-and-handle pattern from Feb 1-23:

The rest of the story says a lot: as Smith foresaw, when NEON broke
$65, it kept on running, right up to $75. But, when it got there, it ran smack into rule #1 of technical analysis: News Trumps TA Every Time.

On another occasion Smith cited DDDDF as an example of a gigantic (5-year!) cup and handle pattern:
