I think the buying is due to TV auction plans. Microsoft- China connection .

You heard anything about large investors calling for stock certificates . Also hear anything about it being difficult to find stock to short. Those factors and only 30% cash required to buy on margin could really get things cooking. I noticed article failed to mentioned new closing high today.
