FLSHF has two products, recently announced. One is a very large size flash memory that, at $5000 or so per unit, belongs in a market for devices, such as military equipment, but probably not in your ordinary digital camera. The other, as I understand it, is a combination disk on a chip that includes functions other than flash memory, and might pose some competition for SanDisk. Apparently the device is to be made by Toshiba. Ultimately the success of competing products must be based on price and performance. So far SanDisk has shown itself to be the leader in both these criteria, but of course it could change. That's one of the risks involved in investing in new technology. I will try to get some more detailed input from SanDisk on this, but I suspect that SanDisk, given the efficiencies it is now achieving in its recently completed plant in Taiwan, still has a distinctive edge.
