Dennis, I don't think you can state it any more clearly than you already have.

Nevertheless, I'm sure than now some will just say that the annual report and the company's accountants are simply lying.

Oh well, it certainly won't be the last time the DELL detractors were wrong.

Yes, the Forbes article is somewhat misleading in its reference to an inflated bottom line. Now that I've read a couple of the financial statements, I understand it better.

It sounds more like a hedge to repurchase shares than some nefarious method to pad the bottom line. sloppy.

I'm still buying Emachines though.<g> Especially the new 400 MHz Celeron model due soon.
