With all the recent law suits against AMD, I wonder how long it will be until they feel compelled to announce that they are having K6-III production problems (not to mention K6-2 450).

Also remember that AMD has only a finite window of opportunity here. There's no indication from AMD on when the server versions of the K7 are coming out. For example, we don't know when AMD will increase the size of the L2 cache, or when the K7 will feature an on-die L2 cache. And we also don't know when those multi-K7 chipsets will be available.

More importantly, how will AMD respond to Merced, Foster, and McKinley? That's the real long-term question here, not whether AMD can even make it into servers in the first place.
