I would like to point out that the open interest on the DELL LEAP puts at 30 for 2001 is currently 17,628.

That means that every point the put moves involves $1,762,800. This is only one expiration and one strike price. I wonder what the total outstanding positions are.

In any case, if the company itself has sold a substantial humber of these, it would be interesting to know how far the stock price would fall before it totally bankrupted the company. If it went to 10, that would be a commitment for someone of over $30,000,000 on that one strike price and maturity. Maybe that's small potatoes for Dell, but with all the other positions it could start to add up.

OK folks. What's wrong with my thinking?

Have I got this wrong?

No wonder Michael dell is selling stock as fast as he legally can.

Earlie,

What do you think about GTW and HP? Tough love for both of them soon?
