mike re: puts

i've posted over and over again, the two basic rules for successful put selling

1)have the capacity cash/margin to accept the put
2)only sell puts in the underlying that you desire to own

i only sell puts in issues that are considered my core portfolio..short term or long term positions always best set on a volatile day caused by news or program trading

tentative markets expand volatility, assured markets the opposite...
...example...dell lower now than on 2/17...premium on zdeml that date @ 26...took in 208k of premiums...today first day since then, with stock 4 points lower that premium back at 26+....volatilty not expanding as much today...dell less tentative then it appears

look at both sides of the equation dell 01 70 call down 1.75 to 5.75...should tell a lot about the perceived upside dell movement..

not a novice...no formulas, secrets..it is basic and simple, only get burned if you break the rules...good luck, ed a.
