Great Info on XNET from the Investor Packet--
Cross-Post from RB.
----
XNET
Their business: ISP, E-Commerce:flowers & restaurants, Homepage portal, Advertising: Federal Software for Microsoft, Telephony, Internet fax, CHINESE SEARCH ENGINE.

This company is profitable, And has been since Nov 97. They are the only profitable ISP in Beijing.

Services offered in Beijing and Shenyang are: Dial up internet, Email, web site design and hosting, chat rooms, homepage portal. There are 16,000 subscribers. Thye are the 5th largest in Beijing and the 3rd largest in Shenyang. Did I mention they ARE profitable.

Xin Net is 80% foreign owned, and 20% Chinese owned. Xin Hai owns and operates their internet license. As I write this I realize I need to look into Xin Hai's ownership of Xin Net and what all this means in terms of revenue stream- also what Infornet in Hong Kong has to do with Xin Net. I'll do this tonight.

They have a substainable margin of 50%. Average Revenue per user: Email $24 U.S./year and Dial up $150/year. With the largest operating expense being Trunk line at 50%- What is that?

Long term strategy: Bundling of services with PC manufacturesand retailers, long term reward systems (discounts?). They intend to expnad into Shanghai, Taiyuan, Chengdu, Chongqing, and increase advertising.

THEIR conclusion: "Conclusion-Chinese Internet market is perched on the verge of explosive growth"

This is NOT a complete report. I am long this stock. Nobody pays me to write this-unless you want to send money. This is only from the investors package XNET sent me and is my interpretation, which may be bias. Do your own DD. This stock is not going to rocket in the near future-probably- you have time to research.

Good luck, and feel free to send ?s
