Is Red Hat a mini Microsoft?
You might want to call it a "micro" Microsoft.<g>

Thanks for the link; it was most refreshing :)

As I suspected. Sooner or later the greed sets in like a bad cancer. This is why MSFT will remain dominant in the OS world for a long time to come, given that it is not sitting on its hands -- and it isn't! The notion of Linux and OSS (open source software) is like Utopia. Nice to dream about. The problem here isn't with Red Hat. If there were no Red Hat, there would be some other company to take its place. This is Darwinism at work, and there's nothing anyone can do to stop it. Might as well go with the flow and make money in the process. Why keep up the hypocrisy.

While the Linux/OSS folks are busy defending their ideology from internecine squabbles, MSFT is busy raking it in. Tell me again, why do investors love Mr Softee?
