>eFax is a GREAT idea and not very-easily duplicated.

Except for the fact that fax usage is steadily decreasing do to internet usage. Doesn't make sense to waste long distance toll charges and a dedicated phone line in order to send stuff that can much more cheaply be completely in the email realm.

As for not very-easily duplicated, you've said the same thing about every stock you ever bought here. Until next week, when 10 competitors usually appear offering the same product cheaper. Then you say "first mover status means everything! who cares if their product can be replicated by any 13 year old with an ISP account"

eFax is a GREAT idea and not very-easily duplicated. There is quite a bit of proprietary technology involved that the company has developed in connection with their hardware interface business.

Oh... ok.... I didn't know that. I was looking into picking up a little efax but decided not to because 1) the insiders sold a ton at around 6 about a month ago, 2) another clone company "FAXX" sprouted up, 3) I felt the place for this technology is with the portals and their free email so (assuming it was easy to knock off, which I felt was the case perhaps incorrect) I thought the portals would whip up efax and that would be the end for them.

The positives for efax were 1) low mkt cap, 2) pretty good revenue model with ads on a hard copy fax - hard copy is good for ads, 3) ease of entry for new accts - everybody needs to fax things - we've already seen how easy it is for them to sign up new accts.

Can you tell me what is proprietary about this briefly - or refer me to a white paper where you deduced this? Whats up with FAXX then?

Michelle
