Not very. Since neither has built hardly anything, it doesn't matter. I believe the fact that 500k out of say, 30M, shows that there isn't significant penetration. A year ago ATHM had a significant technological advantage, but in the interim, the advantage has dissipated. TCI made the fatal mistake of plowing funds into digital tv rather than proceed with the upgrade and so they lost that advantage. What is it AOLites say? If you can field the eyeballs, the pockets will come along quickly. As for ATHM's cable broadband structure it was supposedly to have been started in the SF-Bay Area last fall. The spring is blooming and cable isn't.
