I think Mike meant that Geac has $200 million in cash. With GEAC's acquisition track record, and small caps still lagging, I am sure they will use their case wisely.

My mistake 200 mil and access to another 100 mil.
Here a report for AChan .

With quarter end cash balances exceeding $229.0 million and an unused line of credit of $100.0 million, Geac has a healthy war chest to pursue the abundance of well-priced acquisition opportunities we anticipate seeing in the months to come'', said William Nelson, chairman and CEO of Geac.

The I/T consulting and software vendor market is going downhill.

If that's the case please explain to me why there is a major shortage of IT professionals? This is just one company hiring.

You still haven't answer my last question about those similar software companies that have the same things going for it as Geac.

I understand that someone might bought GEAC when it was $60. That is life and don't expect miracle !!!

That's news to me. When it was 60 bucks the analysis were predicting the share to go to 70 to 75 bucks with eps to hit 3 bucks plus. At $60 they also had strong buys on the stock back then.

Last quarter they hit record rev of 215mil up 24% but came up short on EPS. With the cash to buy something very reasonable I'm sure by next year they could break the 1 bil mark in total rev but I'm not sure how the EPS will be with the Y2K problem still kicking around.

Those numbers look good so I don't need a miracle with revenue growth like that but I do need them to beat the 48 cents forecasted for next quarter. The only problem that could happen is that the revenue could drop off which considering the way the stock price is trading the market is expecting this to happen or else come up short on eps which they have done last quarter.

JMHO
