E.H.F., I agree that CPQ has many things going for them. But as a shareholder, I am concerned that they seem to have terrible execution. Remember last year when they were caught off guard and missed terribly on their earnings?

I agree the stock is cheap at this level. I try to rationalize how it's possible that it's so low. Then I look at management and realize that nobody, including us here, trusts them. What CPQ needs to do is to have a great revenue quarter and demonstrate the growth that they've promised.

I really believe there is no middle ground on this issue. If they report solid reveune growth, the stock will be back up to the high 40's low 50's. If they report anemic numbers, the stock will languish in the high 20's, low 30's. Also, Management needs to give CPQ shareholders a CLEAR plan as to exactly how the Alta Vista shares will be distributed. Unfortunately, clarity is not something that CPQ has excelled at.
