barber--- that is agreed 1000000%. They should have an idea of the numbers now--- they have limitations on what can be said but that is why the lawyers get the big bucks (and options too). They can say some things that would get the question of warning out of the way--- good or bad and DO IT! AV --- spin off should have been done,,, so DO IT or shut up about the monetmaker sitting in the closet collecting dust... that may find a piss poor mkt if they decide to go... even if the mkt is fkying they will get little if any more than they could get tomorrow or 6 months ago.. ---- if it were sold months ago it may have ran to the point of making three times the IPO by now... Anyone that thinks I am happy with CPuke should think again...

Barber, I'm a regular reader and a regular poster, I agree with your observations about the stock buyback. Like you, I am now underneath on CPQ once again, and am tired of what appears to be their general disrespect for the individual shareholder. As naive as this sounds, I still think this $20 drop was "orchestrated" in some way. For what it's worth, on my two proxies today I voted for all nominees for the board except one--Mr. Pfeiffer. If only I had some sense I would have sold all but a core position on 1/27. Next time, I'll know better. Lots of luck to you. JMaz
