Charters, the NWI Gabbro body's size is inferred from the mag, IP, and gravity responses and the surface exposure. Whether the plug originated from a deeper or eroded nearer surface ultramafic body is not as important as the evidence that is available now to determine the projected size and depth of the gabbro body.

I hold to my contention that the gabbro's small 120 m wide size procludes unexpected increases in the thickness and grade of the deposit.

The Manitoba camp string of ultramafic bodies could have formed from depth but could not have formed near surface because differentiating ultramafic melts need hot temperatures so that the different layers separate out without first cooling to end the process.

The Cobalt Ontario dykes are another quandry but could have formed in the cupola of an acid intrusive body at depth.

As I said, the emplacement theories of NWI's plug are not as important as the evidence brought out by each succeeding drill hole.
