agree with the conservative nature of selling puts...should be able to do so in ira providing the capacity exists..

i go near or far expirations...i use the word "simple"..which i guess is relative..when you closely monitor four issues at a time and have your positions set..you don't need black scholes...it becomes second nature to detect a change in volatilty..monitor real time trades on the underlying..something gets quirky either way up/down..and i begin the watch on the cboe...it works well...

selling covered calls on excercised puts is a good cash flow strategy..

i still contend the strategy is simple...but it does require incredible discipline and a belief in what you do..
