Great News, Pat!!

I don't know if you considered this fluff, but the link that you posted if the first 3dfx (stb) employee to indicate the legitimacy of one of the "floating rumors".

voodoomag.com

The reason most people choose to upgrade graphics is for the increase in performance. The benchmarks from are current driver set shows the Voodoo3 2000, the slowest of the Voodoo3 cards, outperforming a Voodoo2 SLI set-up. That is pretty compelling right there. The image quality is also a cut above previous generation products.

Granted, I would like to see the benchmarks, but at least this is a more believable rumor based on Brian Burke's position in the company, and the history of 3dfx to deliver what it states.

Thanks for the link Pat.
