Joins "100 Most Dynamic Companies" Ranking Based on Explosive Growth

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 23, 1999-- Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CTXS - news) today announced it has been named America's Most Dynamic Software Company by Forbes ASAP magazine as part of its annual ranking of the technology industry's ''100 Most Dynamic Companies.''

Forbes ASAP magazine's second annual ''100 Most Dynamic Companies'' listing recognizes companies in the technology industry that demonstrate six characteristics, including responsiveness to change, market opportunity, marketing expertise, human capital, alliances and partnerships, and prospects for growth.

''We're proud to be recognized by Forbes ASAP magazine as America's most dynamic software company,'' said Mark Templeton, president and CEO of Citrix. ''With almost half of the Fortune 500 companies relying on Citrix MetaFrame and WinFrame, we believe that the server-based computing market is one of the most dynamic new technology markets in evolution today. We want to thank our customers, channel, industry partners, shareholders and employees for putting us on the Forbes list.''

''1998 was one of the most memorable years in the history of American business, thanks in part to the skyrocketing stock market, a surging economy and a new generation of technology,'' said Mike Malone, editor, Forbes ASAP. ''In order to remain competitive, technology companies had to be dynamic. Citrix clearly is among the roster of 1998's extraordinary companies, demonstrated in part by its ability to forge key industry partnerships and consistently meet market demand.''

To compile the ''100 Most Dynamic Companies'' ranking, Forbes ASAP interviewed analysts, money managers and venture capitalists, asking them to rate more than 300 companies on six factors that embody ''dynamism'' in a technology company. Winners were chosen in seven categories: Hardware, Software, Peripherals and Manufacturing, Semiconductors, Networking and Telecom Equipment, Telecommunications, and Internet Service and Content.
