1999-03-22 close $1.75
Tuesday Mar 23 1999
The National Post reports in its Tuesday, March 23, edition that investors clobbered Nuinsco Resources stock yesterday, even though the company brought out no new information from its nickel and copper drilling program in Lac Rocher in Quebec. The National Post's Peter Kuitenbrouwer writes that the shares closed yesterday at $1.75, half of their 52-week high a week ago. The paper quotes an analyst who says Nuinsco stock is heading down to a buck if it doesn't hit the motherlode. The paper says more than 40 juniors have snapped up exploration rights to property around Lac Rocher, betting that it will be the next Voisey's Bay. Last Wednesday, Nuinsco released results from two drill holes that confirmed January results showing there is a nickel body, but provided little information on its size. The market surveillance department at the Toronto Stock Exchange says its been watching Nuinsco closely and doesn't believe there is material information that is not publicly disclosed.

Along with the data the projected models are important at an early drilling stage to determine the size potential.

The 2 Diamondfields prospectors did not continue with the kimberlite model after they recognized in the first drill-hole that they had intersected a nickel-rich ultramafic body, but talked with Government Geologist Bruce Ryan about where other such bodies could occur. They then immediately paper-staked the Kiglapait surface-exposed large layered ultramafic intrusive.

The NWI data released so far is enough to determine the probable size and grade potential for the intersected sulphide zone!!
