Intel never said first quarter revenues would be 10% down from Q4-98. They said:

** The company expects revenue for the first quarter of 1999 to be
down from fourth quarter revenue of $7.6 billion due to seasonal
factors.

The whole FY98 and Q498 report, from which the above is an excerpt, is below. You know, when I post specific numbers about a company's earnings, or clock speeds, or whatever, on the web, I first check a reliable source. I wish everyone did.
