I'm not "techie" enough to distinguish for sure, but I think your using the wireless (your reference to pager was the giveaway) system for notification of alert(s).

I'd like to confirm that's what they're developing (the news release WAS vague, leading me to believe this is something in R&D). If it is, and you're already using a similar product, who developed (and brought to market) the technology you're using?
