However, the chained IRQ requires more CPU
intervention in determining the true source
of the interrupt, and this does not speed up
overall system's interrupt latency. The deferred
virtualized interrupt scheme employed in Windows
also adds a lot of latency, and that is why the
real-time processing capabilities of Wintel systems
are so low.
