Its having an effect. Down to as low as 18 7/8. Probably took out a lot of stops. Now back to 19 3/8. (10:25)

The news releases suggested that Phillips would be making a higher offer, but it had sounded like they'd be meeting with the BOD today in yesterday's news and in today's news it was clear that their lawyers would have to arrange to meet with VLSI's lawyers. That's potentially a slower process. It's possible that people expected an agreement to occur today and it could drag out quite a bit longer if lawyers are talking to lawyers. From what we know, that's the only reason for a pullback today (that people expected a settlement tonight). I took the opportunity to buy back some April 17-1/2 calls. Linda
