IMF, World Bank to mull debt relief options (Re IMF Gold Sales)

<< The boards of the two institutions, preparing the ground for the April 28 meeting of their policy making Development Committee, will look at a staff report summarizing submissions from governments, academics, multilateral bodies and nongovernmental organizations like aid groups and charities.

The issue will then go to the June summit of the Group of Seven industrialized countries, some of which have submitted overlapping and competing debt relief plans. A key question will be whether to sell IMF gold to finance the proposals. >>
