NW, DLJDirect has free proprietary software called "Marketspeed". They provide a "bank" of free real-time quotes based on the trading you do. I assume most online brokers do this. This is NOT Level II. You can get the "streaming" data, but I think you should expect to spend approx $80/mo minimum.

There is a thread on Talk:Short-Term: Level II Trading if you care to scan it.

Hi NW,

Open a Datek account, it'll cost you nothing per annum. You need to put $2K into your trading account to open though...

Datek has a realtime streaming quote service. I have happily put up about 25 tickers at a time.

I think they have a demo on the site.

(Missed a buying opportunity at 29 today - heck!)
