>>Would this be the same as you looking at MSFT objectively? One shouldnt throw stones when they live in a glass house.

<g>. A little difference, Toy; I'm up 18% ytd on msft, while rudedog is -27.8% ytd on cpq. Part of my assessment is momentum related.

Toy,

For a clown who has said many times he doesn't trade in tech stocks, you sure have a lot of nerve second-guessing anyones trading strategies. Your predictions on MSFT's performance have been anything but accurate, and your close-to-accurate predictions on NOVL just makes YOU look like more of an idiot for not trading it. Are you really foolish enough to believe that we like MSFT enough as a company that we wouldn't line our wallets with money made from trading in their competitors' stock? Get a clue. If NOVL keeps performing like they have been, then I'm sure several of us here will clean up on it. And you, in the meantime, will be too busy talking smack about MSFT and trading your little Canuck penny stocks to make any money on it. You're always good for a laugh, Toy.

Toy, for Pete's sake. We are here to make money, whether its NOVL or MSFT. Throwing rocks, glass houses, and traders (sic) are not relevant terms, like most of the terms that you use.

But you wouldn't understand that cause all you invest is your idle time and useless opinions. Grow up.

Linux scares the sh#t out of MSFT

Opinion: Why is Microsoft worrying about Linux?

cnn.com

... IBM recently demonstrated the high scalability of Linux using easily available tools. Earlier this month at the LinuxWorld Conference & Expo, IBM clustered 17 Linux servers to create a $150,000 supercomputer that runs as fast as the $5.5 million Cray. But the coup de grace is the fact that IBM did this with freely available Beowolf clustering technology and a copy of Red Hat Linux purchased the day before the clustering demo.

The Linux portion of the above solution weighs in at $49. You can't even use Windows NT to create the same solution today. If or when Microsoft finally delivers such a solution, does anyone think it will do so for a total of $49?

Actually RedHat Linux 5.2 is available for less than $30 from LinuxMall.com.

Let the flames begin ...
