There is some possibility that the OPEC hikes might hold this time. The Saudis have warned that if there is no compliance by the others, they will dump oil on the market and drive the price down to $5 a barrel, thereby making it clear that if the group decides against hanging together, they will all hang separately.

Hi Tony, not much activity over at the AMAT thread lately.

No, I don't think this is the cause of the market tanking today. I think it has to do
with earnings, profit taking and PCs more than anything.<<<

I don't know. The only PC related news I saw today was positive: Merrill's reiteration on Intel as a ST accumulate and LT buy and words: "four reasons why all is fine with Intel", about which I heard no more. We'll see what they're saying tonight on the business shows.
