Hmmm . . . that is steep. I wonder if the numbers in the story were correct. Not at the terminal or I'd recheck.

But I would agree that a 20% drop sequentially does not make a lot of sense.

Wonder why Poyner is so negative?

The 1,890 avg sell price is for 4th quarter desktop computer sales, down from 2,030. He's looking for further decline in 1st quarter of course.

The server and notebook markets probably have a higher price that lifts the overall average to your figure. Is that correct? Do you have the data segmented?
