David. the PC data showing increasing percentage sales of lower end units (sub $1K) is just that - increasing sales of box units.

Total box units overall have increased in the last three months over comparable period last year. The percent of those increased units is primarily in the lower end.

approximately 9.8 million units were projected sold in January - which is 18% higher than last year. same in February. increase in units equals 1.76 million over last year.

47% of units last January were above APU of $1000. 47% X 8.04 million = 3.78 million units.

This January they're saying 38% of units are above $1000. 38% X 9.8 million = 3.72 million units.

3.78 million vs. 3.72 million - not much of a decrease, if any (statistical error could account for the difference).

so, the number of units above $1000 have remained constant. new buyers are apparently entering, buying cheaper units.

and this is retail only.

I agree - IOM closed only down 1/16, on very light volume.
That's a great sign, on a huge down market day of high volume - the
selling in IOM is done - the action today proves that.

Eventually a catalyst for buying will appear - upgrades,
positive earnings next quarter, whatever.
IOM's price/volume vs. the market's = a VERY good sign.

Re:>>> Iomega's recent market action <<<

Would someone please explain to me how Iom could trade a total 12,235,300 shares in the last 7 trading days . And hold between 5 3/8 and 5 1/16 ?

Our resident bear is probably absent because he / they are busy on the phone trying to find the answer to the question above .
