The market sentiment indicators, ones like the number of analysts who are bullish v bearish and the put/call ratio have been way over to the extreme lately. Everyone agrees that the sun has been shinning on the market. That doesn't leave many new people to jump on the bandwagon of US stocks. All it takes in this situation is a wee bit of concern for some little war or a tinge of concern about rising oil and other commodity prices in the midst of some slowing of PC sales (What? . . . corporations have shifted some money from IS expansion to address Y2K?). The bull market is not dead, just as it wasn't dead late last summer. Long live the bull! But the market is ripe for a pull-back.
