INTC, TXN, RambusDRAM and Amkor

messages.yahoo.com@m2.yahoo.com

What kinds of chips are used most widely in the world?

Microprocessors
DSP Chips
DRAM and cellular phone chips

Who is the largest micro processor chip maker in the world?
Who is the largest DSP maker in the world?
What kind of DRAM will have the highest growth rate in near future? And What kind of packaging technology that DRAM and cellular phone chips will use?

* INTC is the largest microprocessor maker in the world, who happens to be AMKR's largest customer (15% revenue).

* TXN is the largest DSP chip maker in the world, who happens to be AMKR's second largest customer (10% revenue).

* RambusDRAM has the highest growth rate among DRAM, which will be massively produced in near future. Both R-DRAM and cellular phone chips use MicroBGA (chip-scale packaging technology) for packaging. AMKR has the largest uBGA capacity in the world and is doubling its uBGA capacity (just announced in March, 99).

Don't get too stupid.
