(NASDAQ: MSFT) and QUALCOMM Inc. (NASDAQ: QCOM) today announced the appointment of Peter A. Price as chief financial officer. Price will be responsible for all areas of Wireless Knowledge's financial management, including financial planning, accounting and business analysis. With the addition of Price as CFO, the executive management team consists of John Major, president and CEO; Randy Salo, vice president of engineering; Dave Whalen, vice president of sales and marketing, and Rhonda Wagner, vice president, general counsel and secretary. At Packet Engines, Price was responsible for equity and debt financing, business and financial planning, bank relations and the internal management of accounting and finance, legal, MIS and human resources. Prior to Packet Engines, Price served as the North American controller for Microsoft Corporation from 1994 to 1996. In this role, he was responsible for monthly financial reporting and analysis, annual budget and forecasting processes, mid-year business reviews from a financial perspective and management of accounting and control processes.
