Some details on the Peru Bank deal, from American Banker of March 1:

"Bancosur, Peru's fifth largest commercial bank . . . began implementing Identix's TouchSafe fingerprint recognition technology in January for more than 150 large and small business clients . . . .

"About 1,000 different PC terminals are wired with the technology, allowing those company employees to log into the bank's database to retrieve information on credits deposits and loans on the bank's main servers. To access accounts, an employee inserts a card with a record of his fingerprint into the PC. The fingerprint identification is matched with information stored on a template in Bancosur's server in a matter of seconds.

"Carlos Arguelles Sala, Bancosur's manager of electronic banking, says, 'It's running very well. Clients are very happy with the technology.' . . .

"Lower prices for fingerprint technologies made it a good time to launch an on-line banking security system. The bank, Arguelles says, paid about $700 per unit. A few years ago the same technology was selling for about $2,000 a unit. Arguelles says that once the price drops to about $200 the bank will try to bring more clients on-line.

"The contract from Bancosur is something of a coup for Identix. Manufacturers of fingerprint technologies derive most revenue from government contracts, but have had trouble expanding into the civilian marketplace where PINs and passwords are most sacrosanct."

______________

So, a $700,000 deal. F3 smart card application with server-based templates for business clients. It seems IDX will report this revenue this quarter.
