Pillowtex sets share buyback
DALLAS, March 23 (Reuters) - Home textiles maker Pillowtex Corp., whose stock fell sharply after it issued a profit warning, said Tuesday it would repurchase one million shares or about 7 percent of its outstanding stock.

The company said in a statement it would repurchase the shares in the open market or in private transactions. Pillowtex has 14.18 million outstanding shares.

The company said it expects the purchases will be made with cash or funds borrowed under its senior credit facility.

Pillowtex stock closed down 4-7/8 at 12-9/16, off its 52-week low of 16-1/8.
