I can't believe there are actually people who short this stock.

Given the short interest numbers over the last few years, there isn't any lack of punters willing to take a shot on the short side.

Some of them even spread nasty rumors and talk to analysts.

Some of them really do very good work. Better than most longs.

But keep something in mind. The open short position is probably substantially shorter in duration than the average long position. So, they can make money, bulls can make money and hogs . . .

I can't vouch for the shorts, but my closed Dell puts were profitable, and my open puts are trading higher than where I bought them.
