Guess it must be this stuff about TXN, which I quote

"BT Alex. Brown Inc. analyst Erika Klauer said the company will probably meet Wall Street views, but weak sales to the disk-drive sector will probably keep it from exceeding them, a scenario many investors had hoped for."

"The opportunity for an upside (surprise) has been diminished," she said.

Yeah so much for a momentum play! Heavy volume and biased upside lately suckered a lot of fools into buying LSI and looking to power over $30. Wall Street's a real tough game!

Gee, Bob, I hadn't noticed that LSI was doing worse than the other technology stocks. We have, for example, Dell:
beta.iqc.com Which is down 35 percent
And: 3 Com:
beta.iqc.com
Down about 51% on that baby
Even highly recommended high flyers like Transwitch
beta.iqc.com
Down from a 47 high, it bounced under 36 today, before a slight recovery.
The big caps, like Texas Instruments, (not to mention Dell) was off about 10% today alone.
Not that I was pleased about LSI getting whacked for nearly 2 points today:
beta.iqc.com
But really, it is consolidating after a fairly hefty runup, and I don't see any serious technical deterioration....we do have a back down to the lower Bollinger Band, but no break through, as one might have expected. So, just opportunities to start accumulating for the next run. And I hope it turns out that way!! <GG> cheers, and good luck!
