Faber just reported that Nations Bank Robiie Stephens said negative things at about 2:30 which spiked afternoon selloff in dell.

The Overbought/Oversold ("OB/OS") indicator is a market breadth indicator based on the smoothed difference between
advancing and declining issues.

If you use the above definition, how can one say that "dell is oversold" since its an individual stock. The above definition applies to market, or atleast a basket of stocks.

I am not trying to be picky here, I honestly want to know why people think an individual stock is "oversold". I am agnostic on TA but think that if enough people believe in TA they can move the market.
