Hmm . . .

That would be news to IBM I suppose. What did Michael Dell say recently about his PC market share expectations for the company?

When he moved into the sub-$1000 market, he specifically redefined the low-priced PC market to be under $600. That means he intends to play in the other segment of the sub-$1,000 market. His first foray (without monitor) is sub-$900 I believe, but the DELL Celeron 333 is outgunned by the competition at this price point.

As I said, it will be a bloody battle royal and the consumer wins (I need to buy a couple of new machines this year).

Mohan: I think we should become Internet Analysts -- I just heard from CNBC that many are securing 5 year contracts for $15 - $25 million. We could work for a "Respectable Wall Street Firm" and have free reign to cover that wonderful internet sector. Boy, it sure would be interesting if we initiated coverage on DELL with a "STRONG BUY." It's an internet stock and since we're analysts we don't even have to be right <ggg>....The great thing about covering DELL is that we would have some real numbers to work with -- not just a promise about profits in the future. Oh well, I'm just dreaming.....but it sure would be fun to give DELL the credit and attention that it deserves!!

Best Regards,

Scott
