It would be appropriate to quote M. Dells comparison of computers to cars.<G> I guess according to him we should pay more for a used car than a new one when he charges as much for 333MHz as others charge for $433MHz.<vbG>

Gary, I said this on the Dell thread and they never understood it, telling me I didn't know how to calculate the cost of building a box <g>: Dell is THE high cost producer because of their profit margins. It sounds funny to consider margins a cost, but when you get into a price war with some big fellers with a lot of clout and many other businesses to give them fighting cash, the margins have to go, at least temporarily, before you can compete. My guess is that the April Dell Love In will be Mikey's spin to try to convince the vacant brains that if he cuts margins now, he will gain enough market share to own the world later. My guess is the dumb and dumber crowd will buy that load of horse manure, but that many institutions will bail on him.
