This may be the only thing we may totally agree on, but, yes the ACLU as far as I can tell operates entirely on principle, regardless of personal "feelings". To me, that is admirable. Do you defend Clinton?

I have been alienated from the ACLU since the Skokie controversy, and since I became a conservative, I of course disagree with it on numerous occasions. But it is so far different from being a Stalinist, only if you are going into politics could I see it being relevant to your career. I might not vote for you because of it, but if you had a decent resume and gave a good interview, it would be irrelevant to hiring you in some other field. I think you are betraying too high a level of anxiety in this instance...
