So if the stock that JAS was originally complaining about being shown as 10 x 40 by Scotia were in 500 share lots (he didn't give the symbol or price), that would be 5,000 bid / 20,000 ask.

Similarly, the same stock reported by StockWatch as 5 x 20, but expressed in THOUSANDS, would be 5,000 bid / 20,000 ask.

It can get confusing ...

Ben the borad lots are consistent with what you posted and yes a .98 x 1.01 b/a can get confusing.

Stockwatch now shows thousands only now - the live tickers had it in board lots and I cant remeber now - Thousands just makes it easier
