killer just a little patience afterall you have been AWOL. mile...mogo...briefly. we had a small combat force there including a small delta force recon team. they recognized their acute vulnerability early on and over weeks submitted 3 requests to the pentagon for tank and gunship support. all three requests died in les aspin's office. i heard the last had been on his desk for over a week with no action when our troops were butchered. the patrol was very low on ammo, had mass casualties and called for support. they needed tanks and gunships, of course none were available. the only guys around were 2 delta guys and a slick(unarmed helo) pilot. the 2 loaded with ammo and medical supplies talked the pilot into letting them fast rope into the middle of it. everyone died after running out of ammo. sec def, les aspin, resigned with big pension, 2 delta guys get MOH, end of story.
