Again, good stuff. It's an innovative deal. However, I tend to think that, while it's a damn good nomination and something to bring to the thread, it's a bit early stage.

Re. PGNS..... ugh! I don't follow companies once they turn profitable, unless there's leverage (IMO) up their wazoooo. So, when the TB program went *poof*, I stopped following them.

The same can't be said for SNAP, which really hurt. It didn't hurt my wallet much, as the business plan here also lacked big-time leverage and I only had a few "keep an eye on it" shares. However, it was a biotech flagship project, a project pivoting on the rationale of a new generation of pharmaceuticals....... shot down by what many consider just bad luck.

But, you're correct.... the hurdle for election of news is "likely to have significant *positive* impact on the future of the sector". The intent is to have a list of only the biggie pieces of news, and to miss few of them.

We haven't had news that, IMO, gets over the hurdle in days. A few ugly days for biotech. We have the usual, the scenario which has dominated the second- and third-tiers for much of the time since Spring '97..... funds and individuals in trouble, forced to sell stuff that they'd rather keep. Moreover, they're forced to sell into light demand. The small caps are growing more illiquid as time passes. Great bargains out there, but..... ugh!

Thanks again, Nigel.
