Zeev: a very good suggestion and along the lines of what most European nations are trying. Don't think its considered politically correct over here though - it makes too much sense, its easy and cheaper - politicians hate that.

Well, I'm far from an expert on Serb/Croat relations, but from what I understand their battles go back about thousand years, so I doubt that a few trinkets and some food will buy their compliance. Nationalism is tough to combat. I would be more inclined to do as Steve Forbes suggested, that we arm the Serbs and let them defend themselves
