I play with a 7mm magnum for fun. Shoot a 10 ga. for fun, but a 44 mag. just upsets me. I have found a .22 is one of the deadliest guns around. Placement son, placement. A .22 twixt and tween the eyes is far better than a .50 in the wall. I do keep a side by side, double trigger, with two full actions under the bed in case of trouble. Broken firing pin is no big deal as the other side is separate. 3" 4 buck. Same as getting hit with 28 38s at the same time. Even more, multiple hits square the the shock.
